NEW WINDOW REPLACEMENT
We can supply and fit new PVC or wooden window units and doors that are the same or even better quality than the major national suppliers, but more cost effectively and with comparable guarantees. We partner with a local builder for installation services but we will manage the entire job. We are rarely if ever beaten on price for new windows and doors and are often significantly less expensive than larger companies because of our lower overheads.
REPLACEMENT OF DEMISTED OR BROKEN DOUBLE GLAZED WINDOWS
Rarely is it necessary to replace a double glazing frame just because the glass is demisted or broken.
Replacing glass in PVC or metal units is usually pretty straight forwards, however, replacing glass in wooden frames (especially in old ones where the putty has solidified and is extremely difficult to remove) is more time consuming and therefore more expensive than metal or PVC frames but is still far more cost effective than replacing the frames themselves.
Replacement of demisted or broken double glazed glass starts at around £90 and increases depending on the size and type of glass and the location and accessibility of the window frame.
It is very important that safety glass is used when there is a risk of harm should the glass shatter.
Safety glass is more expensive and takes a little more time to manufacture but it is unquestionably worthwhile.
The location and function of the glass determines whether safety glass is necessary and the glass can be either toughened or laminated depending on the circumstances.
The use of safety glass applies to windows, doors and other uses of glass for instance shower units and table tops.
We can offer advice as to when it is recommended that safety glass is used.
Mirrors can visually transform the size of a room or area. We can provide and fit mirrors of all shapes and sizes in every room of the property
GLASS CUT TO SIZE
We can provide all shapes, colours and patterns of glass cut to size and delivered to site or collected from our workshop.
We can supply and fit cat flaps to most windows and doors.
